historically ceramic tiles have been the main type of tile available and are used both on the wall tiling and floor tiling. They are not generally suitable for outdoor tiling use due to the change in temperatures from season to season. However the glaze used on the top surface of the tiles makes it ideal for use in kitchens for and bathrooms as it prevents moisture penetration when the right grouts and adhesives are used with the tiles.
